Birmingham City will be without Medhi Nafti for at least two weeks after scans confirmed the midfielder suffered a tear to his hamstring.
The Tunisia international was forced out of the action in the first half of the Blues' 2-1 Championship victory over Southampton on Saturday.
"Scans have shown that Mehdi has got a grade one tear," manager Alex McLeish told the club's official website.
"It's a very small tear and (head physio) Tim Williamson says clinically it's not bad.
"It's high up his hamstring where the muscle meets the tendon and Tim thinks a couple of weeks, so that's a blow for us."
