Ameobi ends Mariners loan

Tomi Ameobi has returned to Doncaster Rovers from his loan spell at Grimsby Town following the appointment of Mike Newell as the new manager at Blundell Park.
The 20-year-old failed to score in his three appearances for the Mariners, but has no regrets about making the temporary switch.
He said: "I started in two games while at Grimsby and I felt that I did quite well. Despite that, the results didn't go the way that everybody with the club wanted them to.
"A new manager came in and he's said that he wants to try new things.
"So I'm back at Doncaster Rovers now and I'm going to work hard and see what happens."
