Grimsby Town manager Mike Newell has strengthened his midfield options by bringing Jean-Paul Kalala back to Blundell Park.
The 26-year-old arrives at the Mariners on loan from Oldham Athletic and will remain with Mike Newell's struggling side until January 3.
A delighted Town boss said of his latest capture: "Jean-Paul will strengthen our midfield and I'm pleased to bring him in.
"Oldham have also allowed him to play in the FA Cup so that's good with the first round ahead next weekend.
"I'm looking at bringing fresh faces in and hopefully there will be more. I said after the Dagenham game that changes need to be made.
"I do think we could do with a real presence up front as well, but sometimes things don't happen in the order you expect."
Kalala scored six goals in 25 games during his first stint with the Mariners before joining Yeovil Town at the end of the 2005-06 season.
