Newell: We need new players

Mike Newell will step up his attempts to bring new players to Blundell Park after watching his Grimsby Town side extend their winless start to the season to 12 games with a 2-2 draw against Luton Town.
The Mariners seemed certain to clinch their first three-point haul of the campaign against Mick Harford's rock-bottom side until Tom Craddock equalised in stoppage time.
Newell admitted: "It was a sickener. I have the same feeling as everyone else at the club. The players, the supporters, everybody must be fed up with it now.
"We thought we had the game won. You can never think that but in two home games running we've conceded in injury time. It's a tough one but we just have to keep going.
"Squad-wise, I think we need to strengthen all over the place, not because of what the lads were doing but to give competition for places.
"You have to bring in people to go in the team or put people under pressure who are in the team. There's no point bringing bodies in who aren't getting games elsewhere."
