Doncaster assistant Richard O'Kelly has emerged as a candidate for the managerial vacancy at League Two side Grimsby Town.
The former Mariners defender has joined ex-Huddersfield Town boss Andy Ritchie and former Norwich and Wigan manager John Deehan in the race to replace the sacked Alan Buckley.
"Richard is 50 years of age and he doesn't need my permission to do anything," revealed Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll.
"He's well thought of at Grimsby and he'll make his own decisions."
