Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has played down his side's slow start to the new season, as the Gills seek to make a quickfire return to League One.
Stimson's side have failed to find the net in either of their opening two league games of the new campaign, but he still believes that things are moving in the right direction.
He said after the 1-0 defeat by Luton Town: "We had chances to score, but if you don't score you don't win football matches and that was the difference.
"I can understand the fans are getting frustrated, but if they look back at the game, were we really that bad?
"In the end, myself as manager and the players will take it on the chin. You shouldn't lose at home and we've just got to move forward now.
