Pools won't appeal Collins red

Hartlepool United have decided not to appeal the red card shown to Sam Collins against MK Dons on Saturday.
The Pools defender was dismissed in the first half of the 3-1 defeat for a professional foul.
Manager Danny Wilson initially suggested the club would appeal the automatic one-match ban but, after speaking to the referee's assessor in attendance at Victoria Park, he has decided not to contest the decision.
"Although we haven't appealed, I have to say we didn't get any support from the assessor, which has forced our hand," Wilson told the club's official website.
"Simply put, we couldn't risk having the same outcome as last time where Sam was dealt a further ban by the FA.
"That doesn't mean to say that we agree with the referee's interpretation of what happened and I want people to know that feel very disappointed with having to go down this line when we feel very much in the right.
"But sadly, that's the way that things are dealt with nowadays."
