Hearts resolve wage issue

Hearts have confirmed that all players and staff at Tynecastle have now been paid following a "technical hitch" which led to rumours of financial trouble at the Edinburgh club.
Last weekend it emerged that the club's players had not received their weekly wages, before further reports on Tuesday suggested the backroom staff were also in line to face a delay over the payment of their monthly salaries.
Club officials blamed a "technical hitch" for the delay to payments and promised to rectify the matter by the end of the week.
Hearts have now confirmed that all wages due to be paid have been done so and insist the problem was a one-off.
"Payment has now been processed as planned and a similar situation is highly unlikely to arise again," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The minor error that occurred has not affected the running of the club in any way. All staff are working as normal."
