Ipswich Town have been given permission to open talks with Moritz Volz after Fulham accepted a bid for the full-back.
Volz, 25, has been a peripheral figure at Fulham since Roy Hodgson took the managerial reins midway through last season and could join the Championship side for a fee in the region of £500,000.
The 25-year-old has made over 100 Premier League appearances for the Cottagers after joining from Arsenal initially on loan and then on a permanent basis in 2004.
"We have made an offer to Fulham for Moritz Volz and it's been accepted," manager Jim Magilton told the club's official website after Saturday's 3-0 victory over Burnley.
