Leeds United boss Gary McAllister was delighted with his side's display in their convincing 5-2 Carling Cup first round win at Chester City.
The Whites scored all five of their goals before half-time at the Deva Stadium, with Jermaine Beckford the star of the show with a hat-trick.
McAllister told the club's official website: "We scored some good goals with some excellent passing movements.
"The objective was purely to get in the next round. I think you could see we were taking it seriously and we achieved that.
"The easy thing is to try and embarrass the opposition and disrespect them and I didn't want that.
"I wanted to see us score more goals and it's all credit to them, they could have thrown the towel in but they didn't."
