Scunthorpe United have made their second signing of the day after landing goalkeeper Sam Slocombe.
Iron boss Nigel Adkins sealed the capture of midfielder Sam Togwell on a free transfer from Barnsley on Friday morning, before confirming the arrival of the 20-year-old keeper from non-league football.
Slocombe has penned a deal until January and will provide competition for the goalkeeping positions with Joe Murphy, Josh Lillis and Kevin Pressman.
Meanwhile, Adkins is hoping his side can bounce back from Tuesday's 3-0 Carling Cup first round defeat to Hartlepool United when they take on Walsall in the league on Saturday.
"Hopefully we've learnt the lessons from Tuesday night," he told the club's official website.
"It was a good wake-up call for everybody and we have to make sure that we strive and work hard for each other.
"I believe we've got enough talent at this football club to go in the right direction to where we want to go - that's to get promoted.
"What we've got to do is make sure we keep pulling in the right direction."
