Swansea City striker Jason Scotland has signed a new extended contract to keep him at the Liberty Stadium until the summer of 2011.
The 29-year-old scored 29 goals in his first campaign in English football, helping the Swans to storm to the League One title last season.
City boss Roberto Martinez told the South Wales Evening Post: "We are delighted to have secured someone of Jason's quality on a long-term deal.
"He proved last season what a deadly finisher he is in front of goal. Jason is a rare breed in the modern game, he is someone who relies on his raw talent and a magic touch to score goals.
"As well as his goalscoring prowess, his build-up play was essential to our success last season."
Scotland himself added: "I'm pleased we've confirmed the new deal early because it means I can continue to concentrate on my football.
"I never expected to do as well as I did last season, simply because it was my first taste of playing in the Football League. To finish with 29 goals was a dream."
