Valencia midfielder David Silva is confident that he has made the right decision in opting to remain at the Mestalla, having been a target for Manchester United this summer.
The 22-year-old Spain international recently put pen to paper on a new five-year contract with Los Che and Silva is happy to have put an end to any remaining doubts over where he will be playing his football next season.
He told his club's official website: "I'm very happy here, the people treat me very well. My first option was to continue with Valencia.
"For me family comes first, they have always helped me with everything. It is important that they are very well, like me.
"We have a good team, there are not many signings this year, but we hope to recover players for the squad because last season was difficult.
"We are in the UEFA Cup, we are thinking of the league and we hope to have some very good times.
"The situation here is calmer now and this is important for me."
