McCarthy happy to progress

Manager Mick McCarthy was a relieved man after seeing his Wolves side squeeze into the second round of the Carling Cup at the expense of Accrington Stanley.
Wolves edged home 3-2 after extra-time at Molineux, with McCarthy heaping praise on their League Two opponents.
He commented: "We got there in the end and we deserved to win the game, no question about that, but it would have been nice if we could have done it sooner.
"But they did exactly what we thought they would and came and made the game very difficult for us.
"We've got the prize of the next round, but they perhaps take the plaudits for the way that they played."
